Santa Ana, CA – September 6, 2013 – IOMIC USA, manufacturer of innovative, revolutionary and dynamically designed grips, announced today that IOMIC’s Midsize Putter Grip was used by the winner of the Deutsche Bank Championship. In addition, a T4 finisher at the tournament and two top-10 finishers at the LPGA Safeway Classic also used IOMIC grips.
“The winner of the Deutsche Bank Championship is known as a great ball striker, but his putting at this event was impressive. He was fourth in strokes gained putting for the final round and 29th for the week. We are thrilled that he relies on our Putter Grip to maintain feel and control during every putt,” stated Katz Murai, Overseas Division of IOMIC. “We congratulate him on his victory.”
The winner shot a final round 66, including six birdies, to capture the title. This is his third career PGA Tour victory and his first since 2009. His win moved him to the number 1 spot in the FedExCup standings. He used an IOMIC Midsize Putter Grip. A T4 finisher used IOMIC X-Evolution Grips.
The IOMIC Putter Grip features an ergonomic design that provides the feel and control necessary to inspire confidence during every putting stroke. It is available in standard, mid-size and large with nine bold colors to choose from.
IOMIC X-Evolution grips are the next evolution X-Grip. A larger outer diameter and deeper X pattern provides remarkable traction equivalent to a cord grip. The X-Evolution delivers both accuracy and stability for superior performance.
A top-10 finisher at the LPGA Safeway Classic shot a 14-under 274 to finish tied for 6th place. IOMIC pro staff member, Karrie Webb finished one stroke back to end up in 8th place. Both professionals used IOMIC Sticky 2.3 grips.
Webb’s custom IOMIC Sticky 2.3 Grips are available to the consumer in eight attractive colors including; autumn blue, moss green, orange, coral red, blue, white and black. IOMIC Sticky grips are incredibly soft, and feature great traction and low torque. These versatile grips are suitable for all playing styles, from beginners to top ranked tour professionals. The Sticky 2.3 is the standard size grip in the Sticky series while the Sticky 1.8 is slightly smaller.
“We congratulate Karrie on her top-10 finish at the Safeway Classic,” added Murai. “It’s always a pleasure to watch her play well on Tour and we appreciate her continued support.”
All IOMIC grips feature the revolutionary “IOMAX” technology, a proprietary compound that provides a soft feel with control. This material provides adhesiveness, is water and friction resistant and is naturally white in color which allows for a full spectrum of color – IOMIC’s signature trait.
