18-hole iconic private club serves as 15th KemperSports-managed property in Illinois
NORTHBROOK, Ill., Sept. 10, 2013 – KemperSports, the most trusted name in golf, announced today that it has been selected to manage Bull Valley Golf Club, a private golf club located in Woodstock, Ill. – 60 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. Built in 1988, Bull Valley is considered one of the great tests of golf in the state and has hosted the 2010 Chicago District Golf Association Amateur Championship and was a host site for the 2010 U.S. Open Qualifier.
In addition to the golf course, the Club includes a recently renovated 37,000 square-foot clubhouse featuring multiple dining rooms, grill, men’s and women’s locker rooms, pro shop, member lounge, and two banquet rooms that can host up to 400 guests. Expansive outdoor gathering spaces can accommodate weddings and gatherings up to 300 guests, making Bull Valley one of the most sought after event venues in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.
“My team at the Rabine Group strives every day to be world class in the industries we serve,” said owner Gary Rabine. “KemperSports is world class in the golf industry and our partnership with KemperSports at Bull Valley will deliver the professionalism our members and guests deserve.”
Designed by Dick Nugent, Bull Valley Golf Club has garnered numerous awards from national golf publications, including being ranked as the 19th best golf course in the state by Golf Digest in their bi-annual state-by-state ranking.
“I can attest that every hole at Bull Valley is memorable,” said Golf Digest Architecture Editor, Ron Whitten. “Bull Valley’s back nine is simply superb, hole for hole as good and varied as anything I’ve seen in greater Chicago.”
“Bull Valley is one of the iconic clubs in the Northwest Chicago region,” said Steve Skinner, chief executive officer of KemperSports. “We look forward to expanding member benefits and improving customer service levels throughout the club.”
Bull Valley Golf Club becomes the 15th KemperSports-managed facility in Illinois – the most in any state, other than California, in the portfolio.
