Swinguru today released the new version of his software My Swinguru. My Swinguru is an easy-to-use, intuitive and interactive golf swing analysis software enabling an engaging self-learning & training golf experience. It uses advanced wireless and markerless 3D motion capture technology to automatically capture, replay and analyze your swing. It provides instantaneous feedback and customized drills for rapid game improvement. My Swinguru is especially designed for simulators & indoor golf centers, bringing a real added value to indoor golfers!
With this new version, Swinguru announces his new capability to track and analyze rotations during a golf swing without any markers on the user’s body. Simply by recording the golfer with a 3D Camera (Kinect type), the software provides an instant feedback on hips & shoulder turn.
Sébastien Wulf, CEO: “The backswing/downswing hips and shoulder turn play a critical role in the full golf swing. My Swinguru is the first and only gesture based technology that measures the movement of a golfer’s hips and shoulders through a swing and provides real-time feedback and immediate solutions to develop a more efficient and powerful swing. Create a breakthrough every time you practice and learn the fundamentals of your best swing so you can repeat it every time. We are very excited with this new update!”
My Swinguru V1.0.115 – New Feature Highlights:
• Multi-club feature: You can now select between 2 different clubs: iron or wood. Swing analysis varies as setup, arc, balance and strike are different for those 2 clubs. You select the club using the button at the bottom in the middle. The club used for a swing is indicated in the bottom right corner of the swing image in the library and in the replay.
• Shoulder and Hip (pelvis) turn: Shoulder and hip rotation is analyzed from address to top of backswing. This new and additional fault is reported to the user if shoulder and/or hip rotation is weak or absent.
• Number of stars: Swing rating is displayed in the bottom left corner of the swing image in the library and replay. When 20 stars are reached, a trophy is displayed in the top right of the swing image in the library and in the replay. (For swings saved with previous versions of My Swinguru, stars count will be at 0. You have to open the swings from the library with this new version to update it.)
• Improved “Take a swing” screen: We replaced the static image (gif) by a large live user map to improve correct setup instructions to the user.
• Floor removal: We now remove the floor when detected to ensure proper analysis.
• Improved software startup: Startup performances have been improved (including loading of large libraries).
• Automated and integrated software updater: My Swinguru warns for availability of a new version and proposes automatic download & upgrade.
• Various bug fixes (corrupted license on Windows 8, missing internet connexion at startup, etc.)
