(NASHPORT, Ohio) – Longaberger Golf Club (www.longabergergolfclub.com) answers the call to recent meeting planning trends with new custom corporate packages, team activity add-ons and discounts for planners, in time for a busy budget season.
“We’re seeing a lot of pent-up demand among regional businesses for brainstorming, planning, and employee recognition programs,” says Melody Sommer, sales director for Longaberger, less than an hour outside Columbus. “With economic optimism guiding 2014 decision making, companies are steadily returning to out-of-office meetings.”
Unique customizable meeting packages that won’t break the bank carry significant weight in today’s competitive market, according to Successful Meetings Magazine. Creativity in group activities outside of the board room are also key drawing cards that show added value to meeting planners.
In response, Longaberger Golf Club created the Fall Corporate Meetings Package, starting at an affordable $20-per-person rate that includes meeting space, event coordination, food and beverage and standard A/V equipment. From there, corporate meeting planners can tailor a complete package that could include accommodations, full service food and beverage, A/V upgrades, activities and 18 holes of golf.
During the months of September and October, group planners can receive as much as 15 percent off their entire package, to further encourage them to try the property. New team building exercises were also recently added – from intimate cooking classes to wine tastings, indoor putting contests to group golf clinics.
“Flexibility is what planners need most from us,” says Sommer. “We’re able to craft a package based on their bottom line, without taking away from the overall experience. The end result is a much more productive gathering that energizes a team.”
The property includes a clubhouse with 60,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, on-site food and beverage, and preferred relationships with nearby hotels.
Happenings in the surrounding area to enjoy during down time include touring the Longaberger Basket Company facility, hiking at Dillon State Park or making wine at Buckeye Winery.
