September 26, 2013- This weekend’s syndicated Where to Play Golf Radio Show features the return of The Space Coast Pro Golf Tour (www.spacecoastprotour.com) and a conversation with Co-Owner Jeffery Bernstein.
35 two-day events have been scheduled at premier resorts and championship courses throughout the Orlando area from October 2013 to May 2014. Their inaugural event takes place October 21st & 22nd at the Reunion Resorts Palmer and Nicklaus courses.
The winner of the Men’s Open Division for each event is guaranteed a $5,000 first-place check no matter how many players, and the top 30 percent of the field will receive a portion of the purse.
In addition to the Men’s Open Division, they will have a 47+ Senior Division, a 60+ Legends Division and a Women’s Division. The Space Coast Pro Tour is open to pros, and male of female amateurs with a USGA index of 3.0 or lower. Professionals who have full exempt playing status on the Web.com, PGA, Champions or LPGA Tours are not eligible.
Each tournament will have an entry fee of only $420, with a guarantee first-place payout of $5,000 (Men’s Open Division) and there is no Membership Fee.
A unique feature of the Space Coast Pro Golf Tour is the inclusion of a Women’s Division. Any female professional golfer, regardless of age, who does not have full exempt playing status on the LPGA Tour, may participate.
The tour will also be providing players with beneficial discounts at host courses as well as sponsor discounts including food and lodging. In addition, players will be able to take advantage of the Mike Bender Golf Academy facilities and instruction.
The Space Coast Pro Golf Tour’s designated charity is The Folds of Honor Foundation and they will be a presence at each event.
