Novi, MI – A past PGA Tour champion and 2Thumb putting grip ambassador finished tied for ninth at the 2025 Corales Puntacana Championship at the Corales Golf Club in the Dominican Republic on Sunday. The winner of the Shriners Children’s Open and Chan Kim were the only players with three rounds in the 60s through 54 holes at the 2025 Corales Puntacana Championship. Only seven players have carded four rounds in the 60s in a single tournament in the seven-year history of this event. The Championship is alternate field event opposite the RBC Heritage played last week in Hilton Head Island, SC.
Strong winds made scoring tough on Sunday. Tournament leader Joel Dahmen bogeyed four of his last six holes to fall shy of his second PGA Tour victory.
Posting rounds of 68, 68, 67 and 74, the 2THUMB player shot a total of 277. The South Carolina native and Clemson graduate, playing on a major medical extension, uses the SNUG TOUR STP24 featuring the grip’s signature smooth and flat front-facing design to ensure consistent grip alignment, and a rounded underbelly that fits in the lifeline of the player’s palm.
The winner of the 2023 Corales Puntacana Championship and 2Thumb brand ambassador Matt Wallace, from London, England, finished T12 playing the Snug Tour 33, 17” grip.
