Novi, MI – With two weeks left to go in the 2025 PGA Tour season, players were feeling the season ending pressure to make the FedEx Cup playoffs coming down the stretch at the 3M Open on Sunday at the TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota.  After missing seven cuts this season, Kurt Kitayama seemed to stay very calm given the circumstances of the moment. Kitayama led wire-to-wire, tied a tournament record low round of 60 on Saturday and backed that up with a final-round 65, finishing at 23-under 261, to capture his second PGA Tour win by one shot over Sam Stevens. He jumped from 110 to 3rd in the FedEx Cup standings, well inside the top 70, to secure a spot in the Playoffs.

2Thumb putting grip player ambassador Matt Wallace shot a 64 in the fourth round with a score of 20 under par, 264. The Englishman and PGA Tour winner who plays out of Wentworth Golf Club, posted his first Top 10 finish on TOUR since the 2024 CJ Cup Byron Nelson. He tied for third along with Jake Knapp, David Lipsky and Pi. Coody.
Wallace has won five times on the DP World Tour.  He won the 2024 Omega European Masters and had a career high 14th place finish in the 2024 Race to Dubai, the DP World’s version of the FedEx Cup.

Wallace uses 2THUMB’s Snug Tour 27 putting grip. He interlocks his fingers, so his palms are facing opposing each other, and as he grips the putter, he places his thumbs alongside one another. Known as the prayer grip, it allows Wallace’s shoulders to hang level, which promotes a pendulum putting motion. It also creates a triangle between his shoulders and hands, which makes it easier to rock back and forth.

2Thumb putting grips are approved by the USGA and R&A. They are an incredibly versatile grip that accommodates a variety of putting grip styles, from Conventional, Claw, Left hand low, Prayer etc.
