Novi, MI – V1 Sports (V1), industry leaders in video analysis, technological and game improvement offerings for golf instructors and consumers, congratulates the nearly three dozen teaching professionals who were recently named to Golf Digest’s list of Best Young Teachers for 2021 – 2022.
In all, 30 distinguished, under-age-40 teaching professionals who use V1 Sports technology were singled out on the prestigious list. Hailing for celebrated properties from all over the country, these stand-out teachers represent the current and future generations of game improvement. According to Golf Digest, “We believe there are more talented golf instructors under the age of 40 than ever before. “It’s a validating statement that so many of the pros Golf Digest has recognized as the game’s Best Young Teachers trust V1 technology in their day-to-day work. More importantly, for us, it’s gratifying to see people we’ve built great relationships with through the years get the credit they deserve,” says V1 Sports CEO Bryan Finnerty.
Golf Digest Best Young Teacher honorees react to the news:
Jordan Dempsey, Performance Center at TPC Sawgrass
“To be singled out like this is awesome and to share the distinction with (fellow Performance Center at TPC Sawgrass instructors Alana Swain and Andrew Lanahan) means people have taken notice of our hard work developing these players and growing the game of golf. V1 Sports’ platforms are really good and continue to get better too. It just makes it very easy to send swings back and forth with my students like European Tour Scott Jamieson. He’s in Saudi this week and used to sending a swing on Monday or Tuesday at practice rounds to check in what’s going on. With V1, I’m able to analyze and it sends him a voiceover back from all the way across the world.”
Alexandra Braga, Denver Country Club
“I feel very honored to be on this list with a lot of people that I respect and thanks to great mentors. I pride myself on being able to find something in every lesson that’s going to elicit desired change. And I feel like I’m pretty good at communicating that to each student. I’m a bit of a tech nerd. I definitely do tend to use a lot of technology like the use of the V1 app and V1 Pro in conjunction with BodiTrak and apply to each lesson on a person-by-person basis. These tools make me an even better communicator with my students.”
Devan Bonebrake, Rolling Hills Country Club
“To be recognized by Golf Digest is wonderful. I love how they use their media reach to recognize how much young talent there is out there and showcase the people who are really working hard and doing all they can to be very good. If there was one tool that I had to have and I could only have one, it would be V1 Pro video. It’s absolutely critical for me and my students to see what they’re doing and to be aware of what their feel is actually creating. It builds trust between the student and teacher because they’re seeing what you’re saying is true. Video with voice overs are a great way to reach people remotely. People are visual learners, so they see it visually and then you make them feel what they’re doing.”
