Luxury Golf Real Estate Demand in Denver Rises Above National Trend
(LITTLETON, COLO.) – The Golf Club at Ravenna (www.ravennagolf.com) – the gated community situated southwest of Denver — has realized significant sales and inquiry increases in home and lot sales in accordance with national and regional trends.
Fuller Sotheby’s International, the exclusive broker for the community, reports inquiries skyrocketed this summer, resulting in the sales of two lots in the past month, and more than 30 on reserve. Interest from builders in Ravenna’s lots has climbed within the last month, indicating the market’s renewed interest in the luxury sector.
To date, five homes, starting at $1.2 million are listed for sale along with 164 customizable virgin lots starting in the $200,000s.
“Custom homes are in high demand and the market is steadily gaining momentum, especially in Colorado,” said Dale Schossow, of Fuller Sotheby’s International Realty. “With most of Denver’s golf course communities already built out, Ravenna’s land appeals to buyers looking to build their very own dream home.”
Home sales in the community mirror recent trend data which suggest the luxury real estate market is on the rise. According to statistics from Fuller Sotheby’s International Realty, servicing the best-known luxury properties in the region, Denver has seen a 44.6 percent increase in listings under contract (vs. 2012) with the average price of homes rising 9.6 percent in 2013. On average, upscale homes in Denver are on the market 54 days or less (vs. 87 days in 2012).
Ravenna, situated on 634 acres of land in Waterton Canyon adjacent to Pike National Forest, features a championship Jay Morrish-designed golf course, views of the dramatic Red Rock outcroppings and homes carrying Old World Mediterranean craftsmanship. Plans currently include breaking ground on a new clubhouse in June 2014.
Private Golf Membership still a Value.
According to recent National Golf Foundation (NGF) statistics, private club membership is desirable to golfers and 94 percent of current private club members said they would be likely to maintain their memberships for at least the next three years.
Many of the over two million golfers with membership to private golf and country clubs tout the benefits including exclusivity, high-end amenities, dining and socializing, faster play, prestige, convenience to home, better conditioning and networking opportunities.
Annual memberships available from Oct. 1-31 are $4,500 and include unlimited green fees for a family for 12 months (include spouse and children up to age 25). Contact the Ravenna sales office for more information at 866.255.6680.
