Monday, September 30, 2013 – World-renowned golf instructor and OMEGA Brand Ambassador Hank Haney visited the Washington D.C. area to entertain OMEGA clients, customers and guests at two exclusive events on Sept. 27-28, 2013.
On the evening of Friday, Sept. 27, Haney was the featured guest at a reception and putting contest held at the OMEGA Boutique at Tysons Galleria in McLean, Va.
Haney provided putting tips to the assembled group of approximately 40 people and answered many of their questions, and then engaged guests by providing instruction as they participated in a putting contest for some terrific prizes. He also signed copies of his latest instructional book.
On the morning of Saturday, Sept. 28, Haney put on an exclusive clinic at River Creek Golf Club in Leesburg, Va., for approximately 34 OMEGA clients and golf club members. Haney spoke for nearly an hour on the golf course’s first tee and hit golf balls to demonstrate the basics of his swing instruction.
Guests then went out onto the golf course for a nine-hole shotgun-start golf tournament, and as each group reached the first tee, Haney spent extensive time working with the golfers individually, giving them instruction on how to improve their swings.
The events at the OMEGA Boutique at Tysons Galleria and River Creek Golf Club celebrated Haney’s relationship with OMEGA as well as the brand’s role as Official Timekeeper of The PGA of America and its support for the sport of golf in the U.S.
Haney has coached golfers, built golf facilities and player academies across the globe for over 35 years. As host of Golf Channel’s The Haney Project, Hank has worked with celebrity golfers like Charles Barkley, Ray Romano, Rush Limbaugh and most recently fellow OMEGA ambassador Michael Phelps.
Haney has taught over 50,000 golf lessons in his career and his students have won every major championship in junior golf, amateur golf and professional golf. He has worked with hundreds of top-ranked pros and is most known for the six years he spent coaching Tiger Woods and the 25 years he spent coaching Masters and British Open champion Mark O’Meara.
Haney has also authored five books on golf instruction; The Big Miss: My Years Coaching Tiger Woods, Essentials of the Swing, The Only Golf Lesson You’ll Ever Need, No More Bad Shots and Fix Your Yips Forever.
