PHILADELPHIA, PA. (October 1, 2013) – The Putting Stick from TPK Golf caused quite a stir when it was released because of the success players and professionals have had using it. Mitchell Crum, teaching professional, used the Putting Stick to dramatically improve Bo Van Pelt’s putting in 2012 and advised inventor Vlad Gribovsky to change it slightly. The result is the Putting Stick Pro Version and it is the GolfTalk Live Product of the Month for October.
Instead of having a mirror attached at the far end resembling a yardstick to aid with proper alignment, the Pro-Version has the mirror built in to the other end where there is an indentation for the golf ball. “Crum felt this worked better, especially for professionals, and he’s listed as a co-inventor,” explains Putting Stick inventor Vlad Gribovsky. The far end of the stick is now beveled to allow a more consistent roll as the ball leaves the training aid and that the leveler can now also designate up and down along with side to side.
The Putting Stick is the only putting training aid that has the body aligned so that the player’s eyes are over the ball. Most golfers never improve their putting, despite years of practice, because of the lack of feedback. The Putting Stick promotes eye alignment, back swing length and stroke accuracy. “The Putting Stick drew immediate attention from professionals and amateur players at the most recent PGA Merchandise Show,” explains show host Tony Leodora, “It provided immediate feedback because the ball would roll right off of the track if it wasn’t struck correctly.”
TPK Golf makes both The Putting Stick and Putting Stick Pro in the United States using the finest quality materials. An extensive interview about the Putting Stick Pro will be aired on the GolfTalk Live radio show later in the month of October.
