Future Champions Golf will be returning to the Pacific Northwest region in the spring of 2014 to host the 2nd Annual FCG Pacific Northwest Championship. After a successful inaugural tournament at Chambers Bay in Tacoma, WA, Future Champions Golf is excited to announce that Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club (www.pumpkinridge.com) will be the host facility of the 2nd Annual Pacific NW Championship on April 12-13, 2014.
“Situated on pristine farmland are two of Portland’s best golf courses: Ghost Creek (public) & Witch Hollow (private). Both were etched into the landscape by renowned golf course architect Bob Cupp. Lush strands of towering trees frame undulating fairways and manicured greens, creating a stunning tapestry for respite, relaxation, and adventure. Both golf courses lend themselves to walking, allowing players to enjoy the golf courses the way they were meant to be played.”
Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club is no stranger to large championships, the course has hosted many of the nation’s top events at every level of competition:
1996: U.S. Men’s Amateur (Tiger Woods wins 3rd consecutive U.S. Men’s Amateur) 1997: U.S. Women’s Open
2000: U.S. Junior Amateur (Boys & Girls)
2003: U.S. Women’s Open
2006: U.S. Women’s Amateur
2009-12: Host of the LPGA Safeway Classic
Future Champions Golf hopes it will be able to add to this illustrious list of championships held at Pumpkin Ridge and that our Pacific NW Champions will one day go on to have the same success as past champions at Pumpkin Ridge.
