IRVINE, CA – October 1, 2013 – FOURTEEN GOLF, a global leader in the development of golf equipment design, announced today that the Golf Digest “Hot List” award winning FOURTEEN GOLF RM-12 Wedges were played by a T2 finisher at the season-ending Web.com Tour Championship in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

The T2 PGA Professional played RM-12 Wedges in 50- and 54-degrees of loft with 12-degree bounce and a 60-degree loft with 8-degree bounce. He used his RM-12 Wedges to set up birdie opportunities during each round, finishing with the low score on Sunday to earn his T2 finish. He also holds a top 50 position on the Web.com Tour Finals Ranking which secures his PGA Card for the 2013-14 PGA Tour season.
Four other professionals who finished in the top 50 list of players earning their PGA Cards also play Fourteen Golf clubs including Fourteen Golf Professional Staff Member Chad Collins. The 2013-14 PGA Tour season begins in two weeks with the Frys.com Open in California.
The tour inspired, high performance Fourteen Golf RM-12 Wedge features expanded grooves that impart exceptional spin and rotational speed. These uniquely shaped trapezoidal grooves have been enlarged by 15% as compared to other FOURTEEN GOLF wedges. This increase in overall groove volume enhances spin retention particularly on partial shots. In addition, these high quality grooves perform well in both dry and wet conditions.
The sole design of the RM-12 Wedge differs greatly from the original RM-11 Wedge. Tour players like to create different shots using the same wedge so the engineers rounded the toe and heel area on the H-Sole available on the 48-degree to 58-degree models and actually removed the back portion of the sole. These modifications allow golfers to open and close the face, promoting a variety of shots.
The 60-degree RM-12 Wedge is unlike the other lofted RM-12 Wedges as it features a T-Sole, also known as a Twin Sole. A distinct ridge in the middle portion of the sole allows the club to get through any type of lie easily as the leading edge is able to slide under the club effortlessly. Additionally, when the club face is open, the back portion of the sole encourages the ball to pop up with the perfect amount of spin.
