Players who missed the deadline have the ability to still save money with AAGT’s new membership payment structure
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (October 3, 2013) – The All-American Gateway Tour (AAGT) announced today they have acquired 100 members for their upcoming Arizona Series and they are ready to assist players who have not yet registered for the upcoming year.
AAGT opened their membership registration on August 1, 2013 with a “Risk Free” membership sale, which meant players would not be charged until a minimum of 100 members have joined. The first 100 members would also receive a discounted membership rate of $1,250, a $500 savings from AAGT’s $1,750 full-price membership rate. In addition, all 100 members were automatically entered into a drawing for one of three free memberships. Winners of that raffle are forthcoming!
In early September, AAGT also announced a radical new step in their efforts to create the best developmental golf tour for both the players and the entire industry. The tour developed a new Governing Body, which consists of active players in the developmental golf system, active PGA TOUR players, existing and past tour owners, and other knowledgeable industry and business executives.
After a meeting this past Friday, the Governing Body has made the executive decision to institute a new membership fee and registration policy for the remaining memberships beyond the first 100. Effective immediately the membership fee will be set at $1,300 and will increase $10 per day until reaching $1,500. That equates to a savings of $250 off the original full-priced membership fee of $1,750 and further promotes all players aligning under one membership. In addition, AAGT has committed to applying all additional dollars raised above and beyond the $1,250 membership fee to the series purses.
As an added bonus, the Governing Body has also decided that the first 150 members who join AAGT will be upgraded to an annual membership which will be valid through September 2014. AAGT plans on releasing its summer schedule in the coming weeks.
AAGT’s upcoming season, which kicks off at ASU Karsten in Tempe, AZ on October 29 with a GUARANTEED 100% purse payback, will feature a slate of fifteen 54-hole tournaments throughout the Phoenix area, plus a season-ending Tour Championship that boasts a growing first-place prize. Each series will consist of five tournaments, featuring a 100% purse payback program, a cumulative “Points Race” to award a Web.com Tour playing exemption, as well as a one-day, 18-hole Sponsorship Event prior to each series that will award the winner with free entry into all five tournaments.
