An aggressive black nickel satin finish with high-spin quad cut grooves delivers the ultimate shot-making wedge
Norcross, Ga. – (Oct. 7, 2013) – Mizuno USA, an industry leader in wedge development and innovation, has released the latest JPX Series Wedge. Designed to flow with any JPX or MP iron sets, the new JPX Wedge combines a generous sized face, with a wide, smooth sole and subtle relief in the toe and heel for maximum versatility from any lie. The precise configuration of spin, solid feel and aesthetics makes the new JPX Wedge one of the most playable wedges on the market today.
The Mizuno exclusive and aggressive Quad Cut Grooves and CNC Milled Face are featured in the new JPX Wedges with a variety of groove shapes positioned to coincide with the specific lofts for optimal spin control within current regulations – width, depth, draft angle and shoulder radius – and further refine spin for maximum and consistent performance.
“The JPX Series Wedges were designed with all skill levels in mind, not just the game-improvement players,” said Chuck Couch, VP of Product Management, Golf Division. “We know there are times when even more skilled golfers prefer not to look down at a small, compact wedge yet desire a wedge that provides forgiveness, tour level accuracy and spin that can stop a ball dead in its tracks.”
The 50-54 degree wedges offer a deeper, narrow groove best suited for spin on a full shots, while the 56-60 degree wedges feature wider and shallower grooves to generate the most spin on the short-ranged shots. The rounded leading edge and wider sole of the JPX Wedge allows for ideal turf interaction and more forgiveness in difficult lies.
Specifically engineered with Mizuno’s H.I.T (Harmonic Impact Technology), the JPX Wedge provides a satisfying solid feel at impact.
