CHICAGO, October 7, 2013 – Wilson Staff mini-tour player Meghan Hardin returns to the Golf Channel®’s popular show, Big Break®, for a reunion series with former NFL® stars in Puerto Rico. The sequence brings together past show’s charismatic personalities returning for their second chance at qualifying for the world’s top tours.
Hardin’s dream is to compete on the LPGA Tour, and the competitive show qualifies her for an exemption to do just that in 2014.
Two years ago, she gave up her amateur status and the ability to compete collegiately at Palomar College in California to compete on Big Break Atlantis. Since then, she joined the Cactus and Grasshopper mini-tours in the Southwest and continued her quest to obtain her LPGA Tour card.
Hardin began selecting her equipment sponsor in 2012, and the conversations with Wilson Staff originated out of her passion to succeed. “What appealed to me is they’ve won more majors than any other and that’s difficult for other companies to compete with,” she explained. “They know what winning is all about, and that’s what defines me and where I expect to be.”
Meghan got custom fit for her equipment at the Wilson Staff Innovation Center near corporate headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. “After talking through my game and seeing my results on the course and numbers on the launch monitor, we realized I’m what they call a ‘Control player’. I need some distance and accuracy technologies while preferring a player’s look at address.”
Wilson Staff is excited to support a young, female up-and-coming player. “The relationship we’ve built with Meghan over the past year aligns with where we are extending our brand,” comments Wilson Golf General Manager Tim Clarke. “She represents our focus on getting equipment in the bags of younger prospective professionals.”
