Volvik staff player Christine Song of Fullerton, CA earned her 2014 LPGA Tour Card in the Volvik Race for the Card on the Symetra Tour Sept. 30th.
Song was the only player to win twice this year on the Symetra Tour, helping her to a #4 finish in the Volvik Race for the Card standings and to earn her fully exempt status on the 2014 LPGA Tour. Song plays a Yellow Volvik Vista 4-piece golf ball.
“I had one of my best years this year and I’m very happy and fortunate to have won twice and earn my 2014 LPGA Tour card” said Song. “Volvik was a big help for me this year. I can see the ball better in the air and on the green. I think it gave me a better feel around the greens especially a truer roll off the face of the putter. Lastly it helps me with one of my strengths of hitting the ball straight.”
Song’s last win was the 5th victory for a player using Volvik golf balls in the past year on the LPGA Tour and Symetra Tour and the 8th victory for Volvik worldwide since 2012.
The 2013 Symetra Tour graduates in the Volvik Race for the Card are, in order of finish: No.1 P.K. During the 15 events on the 2013 schedule, the Road to the LPGA saw 14 different winners as players jockeyed to earn a position inside the top-10 of the Volvik Race for the Card.
