PHILADELPHIA, PA (October 11, 2013) – Since its inception in 2006 the GolfTalk Live radio show, hosted by Tony Leodora, has been recognized for its excellence in broadcasting. Three times in the last five years GolfTalk Live has been voted the No. 1 golf radio show in America by the International Network of Golf. That recognition comes after stiff competition from golf radio shows across the country and is presented at the annual PGA Merchandise Show in America.
Now, GolfTalk Live will be taking another bow at the PGA Show, alongside Lou Guzzi, the show’s Director of Instruction. Guzzi, who has been with the show from the beginning, was recently named National Teacher of the Year by the PGA of America. He will accept the award in front of a huge crowd of his peers and executives throughout the golf industry at January’s PGA Merchandise Show.
Guzzi, who was formerly named Teacher of the Year by the Philadelphia Section PGA, compounded his national stature by being named to the list of the Best Teachers in America in the November issue of Golf Digest.
“Working with the radio show all of these years has been fun and very rewarding,” admits Guzzi. “I can’t help but feel it added to my national presence and helped with the award.”
GolfTalk Live host Tony Leodora was quick to give all the credit to Guzzi: “Lou qualified for this award the old-fashioned way. He earned it. Nobody is more passionate about his profession or works harder to find new ways to get his point across to his students than Lou. He is, without a doubt, the consummate professional.”

The GolfTalk Live radio show airs 52 weeks a year from 7 to 8 a.m. each Saturday on flagship station WNTP 990-AM in Philadelphia. In 2012 it entered into syndication.
