IRVINE, CA – October 14, 2013 – FOURTEEN GOLF, a global leader in the development of golf equipment design, announced today that the company has garnered two additional wins for the 2013 season. These victories came at the Japan Women’s Open and JGTO Coca-Cola Tokai Classic, both held in Japan.
“Last week I commented on how FOURTEEN GOLF is a company with a global focus and so is golf. Its popularity continues to grow internationally and we’re delighted to be part of this growth. These wins in Japan are important to us as they again validate our worldwide tour program. Congratulations to both of these champions,” commented FOURTEEN GOLF COO Marcy Kamoda.
The Japan Women’s Open Champion took the tournament playing two Golf Digest “Hot List” award-winning RM-12 Wedges — her loft preferences are 52-degree and 58-degrees. These precision-like short game tools set her up repeatedly for makeable putts and helped her recover the lead with birdies at the 11th and 13th holes during the last round.
“The short game in golf is important for professionals and amateurs alike. All golfers need to get the ball close to the pin to make the putt. In a professional event like the Japan Women’s Open, one putt or one stroke made the difference between winning and taking second place. We’re happy our high performance RM-12 Wedges helped her claim another victory,” added Kamoda.
Another noteworthy win for FOURTEEN GOLF came at the JGTO Coca-Cola Tokai Classic where a dynamic professional golfer played a variety of FOURTEEN GOLF equipment. He used the CT-112 Driver, a SF-511 #3 Metal Wood and two RM-12 Wedges.
“Most people know FOURTEEN GOLF because of our wedges but all of our equipment is played on tour. Last week at the Volvik Championship and again at the Tokai Classic our wedges were in play but so were the SF-511 Fairway Woods. These woods provided these champions increased distance with stability and accuracy,” added Kamoda.
The SF-511 Fairway Wood Series was developed for those golfers who prefer a slightly stronger lofted wood. It features a tour size club head which allows for playability out of the thickest of rough without sacrificing distance.
The JGTO Coca-Cola Tokai Classic Champion bombed his drives with the CT-112 Driver, a manufacturing marvel with a four-piece composite Titanium head. To produce longer driving distances, the FOURTEEN GOLF engineering team developed a four-piece composite Titanium head. The crown has been milled to 0.5mm and is complemented with a multi-layered cup face. This dynamic combination works in unison to bring out the best from the 460cm oversized club head. In addition, the traditionally shaped head looks sharp at address and appears easy to hit.
FOURTEEN GOLF is a burgeoning golf equipment company that takes great pride in its tour program. In addition to the vast number of professional golfers playing FOURTEEN GOLF equipment, the company has a professional FOURTEEN GOLF staff team which includes PGA Professionals John Mallinger, Arjun Atwal, Ryuji Imada, Chad Collins, and Jason Eslinger.
