(VIENNA, VA) – Billy Casper Golf (BCG) Chairman and CEO Peter Hill is No. 8 on Golf Inc.’s international ranking of the “Most Powerful People in Golf,” joining PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem, Jack Nicklaus and Donald Trump in the magazine’s “Top 10.”
Co-founding BCG in 1989 with business partner Robert Morris and PGA Tour legend Billy Casper, Hill has directed the company to become the owner-operator with the largest domestic portfolio of golf courses, country clubs and resorts.
This marks the ninth consecutive year Hill ranks Top 10 on the “Most Powerful” list.
About his leadership, Golf Inc. states: “Billy Casper Golf has deftly capitalized on opportunities presented by the Great Recession and become one of the industry’s fastest-growing management firms. In recent years, its marketing message – its courses out-perform the competition in rounds played, in revenue growth and in bottom-line profitability.”
The magazine praises Hill for his industry stature, serving as Chairman of the National Golf Foundation Board of Directors.
“Billy Casper Golf’s goal is to build the best operating platform in the history of golf,” says Hill. “Our driven, talented team deserves credit for this honor, attracting and treating guests and members to high-quality experiences.”
The company is widely respected for its cutting-edge and customized marketing technology, unique promotions and events, targeted public relations, revenue management, hiring and training platform, agronomic best practices and vendor partnerships.
Hill’s Golf Inc. ranking follows the company’s recent merger with Kitson & Partners Clubs under the BCG name, adding 13 properties to its portfolio. In addition, last month BCG acquired Women on Course, the nation’s premier golf-networking organization, further solidifying BCG’s commitment to grow participation in the golf lifestyle.
