DALLAS – Eagle Golf has promoted Ed Easley to Senior Vice President of Agronomy and Construction, company President Joe Munsch announced. An industry veteran with more than 30 years experience in course design, construction and agronomy, Easley will oversee projects in those categories for all of Eagle’s 31 golf properties and maintain direct oversight of the company’s regional superintendents.
“Ed’s leadership will be paramount in our efforts to maintain high standards of course maintenance and also in implementing new and consistent practices across the company,” Munsch said. “Ed has an incredible skillset when it comes to structure, organization and attention to detail. He is going to make an already-successful department even better in addition to being a valuable resource for new properties and properties in transition between superintendents.”
While overseeing all regional superintendents, Easley will also manage the company’s equipment inventory and work with general managers to ensure courses maintain the most efficient equipment.
Since 2001, Easley has served as Director of Design and Construction, managing over 26 million dollars in design and construction projects in the company’s portfolio and for third party clients.
“I’m excited to expand my responsibilities into the agronomy side of our company and work with all of our courses, general managers and superintendents,” Easley said. “We do a tremendous job in providing quality golf courses for our customers, and I look forward to working to improve an already-stellar operation.”
Prior to joining Eagle Golf, Ed worked with Desmond Muirhead, Inc., a worldwide planning and golf course design firm, where he was Senior Golf Course Architect and Construction Manager on all projects. His golf course architecture, construction, and course maintenance crisscrosses the globe from the United States, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Guam, Dubai UAE and Lebanon to Mexico.
Easley graduated from the turf grass management program at Oklahoma State University and has been a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association for 20 years.
