As a group, the three resorts are unmatched. Individually, each has its own personality.

If the first and last word of your vacation is golf, then Innisbrook Golf Resort & Spa might be the choice. The nature-laden resort just north of Tampa has long been a favorite of the traditional golfer. Four courses designed by Larry Packard offer tremendous variety for the extremely skilled down to the novice.

Best known of the four is the Copperhead, host to the PGA Tour every March. Tour players rave about the layout, calling it extremely demanding and fair. Former world No. 1 Martin Kaymer calls Copperhead his favorite course on the PGA Tour. Ranked No. 5 in Florida by Golf Magazine, Copperhead rests comfortably on the rolling landscape, winding through tall pines and moss-draped oaks. Long and accurate tee shots are key to playing well on this challenging course.

If you’re looking for a more activities-oriented golf vacation, Reunion Resort in Orlando is a great choice. Located 30 minutes from the Orlando International Airport and six miles from Walt Disney World, Reunion Resort’s exclusive 2,300-acre community has the space, amenities and accommodations for a diverse golf getaway.

Reunion is the only resort in the world to offer golf courses designed by hall of famers Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus. The Palmer course’s hilly terrain creates a rollercoaster-like round of golf. Expansive fairways allow golfers to reach back for a little extra off the tee. The course’s defense is provided by well-bunked, sloping greens.

The Watson Course is the highest ranked of the three, coming in at No. 9 in Florida. Tighter fairways call for accuracy off the tee, but the key shot is often the approach to challenging green complexes. The Nicklaus Course is a Parkland-style layout is smooth and flowing, with long horizon lines and elevated tee boxes and greens.

The beautifully appointed 2- and 3-bedroom villas, many with stunning golf course views, are perfect for groups who can stretch out in home-like settings. To close out their nights, golfers can venture to Eleven, the top of the resort restaurant and lounge where Walt Disney World Fireworks show can be viewed nightly from the patio.

If ocean views are more to your liking, Hammock Beach is the perfect choice. Located in Palm Coast between Daytona and Jacksonville, Hammock Beach offers luxurious accommodations and two outstanding courses.

The Ocean Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, is ranked No. 4 in Florida and features six holes that play along the Atlantic Ocean. This is a typical Nicklaus design with wide fairways and challenging green complexes. The second course at Hammock Beach is Tom Watson’s Conservatory, ranked 18th in the state. It is a links style masterpiece comprised of 140 acres of dramatic rolling hills and huge undulating greens not commonly found in Florida.

A water park and full-service spa help fill the days, and a choice of oceanfront restaurants await at night. There are several accommodations choices. The new Ocean Towers are situated on the north and south side of the main resort structure. These luxurious three bedroom suites feature a private balcony, many with sweeping views of the Ocean Course and Atlantic coastline.

The Villas at Hammock Beach offer more privacy in 2- and 3-bedroom villas, And for a true intimate experience the 20-room Lodge at Hammock Beach is perfect. The luxuriously appointed guestrooms each have a private balcony, sophisticated marble entry and bathrooms with granite vanities.
