Dallas assistant professionals Keith Coppedge of the Golf Club of Dallas and Cory Ryan of Crown Colony Country Club were selected as winners of the ezLocator DFW Tournament of Champions grants. Each received $2,500 checks Monday at the Northern Texas PGA Metropolitan Chapter meeting at the Sherrill Park Golf Course in Richardson to help cover the costs related to attaining their PGA memberships.
“We realize it is costly for young men and women to get the necessary training by attending the PGA educational programs and thought this was a good way to recognize our future industry leaders,” said Jon Schultz, President of Richardson-based ezLocator, which provides a software program designed to help golf courses manage the placement of pin more effectively.
Coppedge, a graduate of Baylor University, completed his membership requirements in working five years for Philip Bleakney while Ryan is a level 3 apprentice working for Ben Burns, head golf professional at Crown Colony Country Club.
