DALLAS – Four golf courses operated by Eagle Golf earned recognition as the best in their category in Avid Golfer’s 2013 course rankings. Cowboys Golf Club was named the best public course in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for the 12th year in a row, and Canyon Springs Golf Club earned top honors among elite courses in the San Antonio market. Riverside Golf Club was honored as the top value course in the DFW metroplex, and The Links at Land’s End was named the top outlying course for day trips or stay-and-play vacations.
“Eagle Golf is committed to delivering an enjoyable golf experience and outstanding customer service at every one of our courses, and awards like these show that our commitment to quality is visible on our golf courses and in our staff,” said Joe Munsch, CEO of Eagle Golf. “I would like to congratulate everyone at each of the courses honored and I thank them for their continued effort to deliver the very best in golf and hospitality to our guests.”
The magazine also recognized seven additional Eagle Golf properties. Indian Creek Golf Club was the No. 2 premium course in the Dallas/Fort Worth market, and Mansfield National Golf Club was No. 2 among value courses. The Golf Club at Fossil Creek was selected as the No. 3 luxury course, and Plantation Golf Course was the No. 4 value course in the area. WestRidge Golf Course was named the No. 5 premium course.
Iron Horse Golf Course and the Lake Park 18 hole course were also ranked among the top 50 courses in the magazine’s footprint.
In addition to rating the overall appeal of Dallas/Forth Worth courses, Avid Golfer also recognized specific aspects of facilities. Cowboys Golf Club earned acclaim for overall service and best halfway house, while The Golf Club at Fossil Creek was honored for the renovation of its new clubhouse. The Executive Course at Lake Park was named the best place to learn golf for the second year in a row, and WestRidge Golf Course was recognized for having something for every type of golfer.
Recent course renovations and the cart girl’s service were also recognized at Indian Creek Golf Club, and The Links and Land’s End was noted for the abundance of bald eagles around the facility.
The Avid Golfer rankings were the work of three panelists selected by the magazine to visit every public course in the Dallas area during the year.
