CARLSBAD, Calif. (Dec. 9, 2013) – Four world-class players utilized Nippon Shaft steel shafts in their irons enroute to finishing in the top 10 at the European Tour’s Nedbank Golf Challenge in Sun City, South Africa over the weekend.
Finishing runner-up was the 33-year-old Spaniard, who used Nippon Shaft’s N.S. PRO MODUS3 Tour 130 with an X flex in his irons. He shot 18-under par for the week, with rounds of 66-73-66-65.
In fourth place was the 37-year-old Swede who recently won both the United States’ and European playoff series, the FedEx Cup and the Race to Dubai, respectively. The 37-year-old native of Gothenberg used the N.S. PRO MODUS3 Tour 120 with an X flex, as he did throughout last season. For the week, he shot 16-under par with 69-67-69-67,
Coming in fifth was the man from Zimbabwe, whose irons were equipped with the N.S. PRO PROTO ORA X flex. He shot 15-under par on rounds of 70-68-69-66.
Finishing 10th at 9-under par was the European Tour’s 2013 Rookie of the Year, who used N.S. PRO MODUS3 Tour 120 steel shafts with a TX flex in his irons. The young American former U.S. Amateur champion shot rounds of 70-69-70-70.
