Scottsdale, Ariz. – Digital Caddies, Inc. (OTCPK: CADY), announced today that Tim Greenwell has joined the company as Vice President of Golf Course Sales. Greenwell, a golf industry veteran with 25-plus years of experience, is an expert in driving rapid sales growth and building market share.
“We are extremely excited and fortunate to attract a talent like Tim Greenwell to join the Digital Caddies team,” said Mike Loustalot, President of Digital Caddies. “His extensive experience, his relationships in the industry and his sales and marketing acumen will be instrumental as we continue to grow the Digital Caddies Player’s Network.”
During Greenwell’s career he has worked with the Arizona Golf Association, Southwest Section of the PGA, The Golf Channel and Troon Golf. While at Troon Golf, the world’s largest golf course management company with nearly 200 golf courses located in 26 states and 30 countries, Greenwell was the Senior Vice President of Global Branding & Marketing. Hired by Troon Golf in 1997, Greenwell was charged with building and leading the sales and marketing departments.
Earlier this year, Digital Caddies launched The Player’s Network – a course navigation and content platform installed on golf carts that connects to the web through Sprint’s high-speed wireless network and improves guests’ experiences by providing instant and accurate yardages, real-time interaction with the clubhouse, and other features golfers demand. Now golfers can interact with the platform on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, which is installed directly onto golf cart canopies and remains powered on throughout the entire round.
The platform is also a powerful tool for golf course operators to help build guest loyalty, and potentially increase course revenue and lower operating costs. The platform is specifically designed to promote interaction between the golfer and the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 throughout their round, providing an opportunity for golf course operators and advertisers to interact directly with golfers in ways that have never been possible before.
