Native makes transition from IBS, Inc., to new company that will improve the health of golf course industry
December 10, 2013, Richmond, Va. – Mark Williams has been named director of client services for Play18 Solutions. Williams had been director of national accounts at IBS, Inc., before its division created Play18 Solutions in December 2013.
In his new role, Williams will manage all client relationships for Play18 Solutions, a data-driven marketing and operations solutions company serving the semi-private, resort and daily fee golf course industry.
“We’re excited to have an industry veteran like Mark in this role,” said Play18 Solutions CEO Brett Darrow. “Mark has a proven track record of success and a high level of enthusiasm.”
Unlike other industry providers who implement a barter system with a course’s premier tee times and then resell them at dramatically reduced prices, Play18 Solutions replaces the dependence on a barter system with a performance-based pricing structure, allowing courses to keep their pricing structure intact.

Williams worked at IBS for 10 years, moving from inside sales to director of national accounts.
Prior to IBS, Williams worked as a desktop analyst for Capital One Financial Services. The Richmond, Va., native earned a bachelor of science degree from Virginia Tech.
