2014 PGA Merchandise Show offers new exclusive education sessions from leading experts
NORWALK, Conn. – Early registration savings for the PGA Merchandise Show Education Conference are available to industry professionals through December 19, 2013, at www.PGAShow.com. New education opportunities across multiple platforms are available to PGA Professionals and industry executives attending the 2014 PGA Merchandise Show, January 21-24, in Orlando, Fla.
Ø Instructional Workshops at the PGA Show Outdoor Demo Day
Five of the industry’s most prominent golf instructors – PGA Professionals David Leadbetter, Mike Malaska, Stan Utley and Suzy Whaley, and renowned LPGA teaching professional Dana Rader – will provide hands-on skill instruction during one-hour sessions at the teaching pavilion of the Orange County National Golf Center, on Tuesday, Jan. 21, during the PGA Show Outdoor Demo Day. PGA Professionals receive 1 MSR credit in the PGA Education category per session. Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis due to a limited capacity venue. The workshops are sponsored by Orange Whip Trainer.
Additionally, a condensed FlightScope® Academy program will be held in conjunction with the 2014 PGA Merchandise Show Outdoor Demo Day, 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., at the Tooth Course of Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge.
Ø Featured Exclusive-Content, High-Profile Sessions
The new “exclusive content” sessions of the PGA Education Conference, Jan. 22-24, will feature the industry’s most respected subject-matter experts presenting a series of seminars on topics to immediately impact successful golf business operations within classrooms of the Orange County Convention Center. Exclusive content sessions will be offered by the Disney Institute, Turner Sports, the Titleist Performance Institute, plus special sessions featuring Cameron McCormick, PGA, and Tony Jacklin, CBE.

Ø PGA & AGM Education Seminars
Many of golf’s most respected subject matter experts and industry leaders will present in-depth 60-minute seminars, Jan. 22-24, on teaching & coaching, leadership, player development and retailing within classrooms of the Orange County Convention Center. Spotlight sessions include leadership seminars by Troon Golf and Billy Casper Golf; teaching & coaching seminars by PGA Professionals Mike Malaska, Mike Bender and Cheryl Anderson; player development seminars by Todd Sones, PGA, Donna Fidorowitz and Retail Tribe; and retailing seminars by AGM instructors Sheryl Bindelglass and Tracy Moffatt.
Ø PGA Show Education Conference Networking Reception
PGA Golf Exhibitions will host the first PGA Show Education Conference Networking Reception on Thursday, Jan. 23, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Orange County Convention Center. Kraig Kann, LPGA Chief Communications officer, will be the special guest speaker for the event. Full Conference pass holders receive complimentary access; PGA Show registrants without an education conference full pass may attend the reception for a fee of $25.
