(Fort Wayne, IN) – In independent player testing administered by GolfTest USA, JumboMax® Golf Grips outperformed standard golf grips in head-to-head testing in nearly every category and were awarded the company’s Seal of Excellence and its Highest Achievement Award.
“We are awarding the JumboMax Grip our 5-Star Rating which is based on the results achieved in this test,” said Wayne Williams of GolfTest USA. “By using the JumboMax Grip on their clubs golfers will hit straighter and more consistent shots and play better golf overall. This test was one of the most comprehensive tests GolfTest USA has ever done on a golf product. Because of the amazingly positive results achieved by the JumboMax Grip we are also awarding it the Best Game Improvement Product of 2013.”
GolfTest USA indentified 40 golfers with swing speeds ranging from 75 MPH to 105 MPH and had them hit shots with drivers and wedges. The drivers and wedges used in the test were identical with the only difference being the grips. One set of clubs had standard OEM golf grips and one set had the JumboMax grips. The testers were fitted with clubs with three different flexes to use in the test depending on their ability and swing speed. Each tester hit several practice shots with each driver and wedge until they were warmed up and felt comfortable hitting each club. The tester then hit shots alternating between the driver with the standard grip and the driver with the JumboMax grip. The same process was used with the tester hitting the wedges. GolfTest USA used the FlightScope Prime Launch monitor to record each shot. It gathered data on distance; both carry and roll, launch angle, ball spin rate, dispersion and smash factor.
“We can’t emphasis enough how much most golfers will improve their ball striking simply by changing their grips to JumboMax,” said Williams.
Results with the JumboMax Grips versus the standard grips showed improvement in nearly all categories tested including Carry Distance, Total Distance, Clubhead Speed, Smash Factor and Wedge Dispersion; particularly impressive was the 10+ yard Increase (6.2%) in Carry Distance that testers experienced with the Driver and the 22.8% better dispersion average they experienced in the Wedge test.
“We knew we’d see some favorable results from the GolfTest USA testing,” said John Mazzanoble, V.P. of Sales for JumboMax. “After all, we’ve been running Demo Days for a couple years now and every time we do one, we see some great results. But to receive the Seal of Excellence and the Best Game Improvement Product of 2013 Award like this is very exciting. We knew going into this test that our Grips can help golfers hit longer, straighter shots. To have an independent testing organization like GolfTest USA confirm those results is truly awesome!”
