The latest technology to improve putting is not in the putter head or shaft. It is putter grip selection. Presently, golfers have little chance to analyze which grip feels best and indeed, allows them to putt better. The solution is THE INTER_X PUTTER GRIP.
The Inter_X Golf Grip is a quick change grip for putters. Quick change grips allow golfers to try different putter grips and determine which feels best when putting. The grip is easily placed and easily removed. It is secured in seconds and ready for use once the preferred selection is made. The Inter_X Golf Grip allows a golfer to try different sizes, shapes, materials, colors, etc. It was developed by a Phd in mechanical engineer / PGA professional. The technology is available for sale or license. A patent application covers quick change of grips at point of purchase. Several patent applications cover the methods of quick change.
Three patents have been applied for including:
1. SNAP TECHNOLOGY: TO JOIN GRIPS TO SHAFTS
Technology which joins grips to shafts by utilizing snaps. The path of insertion prevents the forces of a normal golf swing from disengaging the snaps. The snaps can only be disengaged by intentional force and not by the forces of a golf swing.
Snap technology requires a special shaft, shaft alteration, or shaft inserts to be used. Golf club manufacturers can increase profits by making interfaces which allow only their grips to replace existing grips.
2. FRICTION CONTROL: TO JOIN GRIPS TO SHAFTS
Controlled friction allows a grip to slide onto a shaft. The friction is then increased to secure the grip in place. The friction is reduced to allow quick removal.
Friction control grips can be used on any shaft including on an old putter or new a new putter. Putter manufacturers will sell more putters if a golfer has a choice of which grip they like best.
3. A NOVEL SYSTEM: SELECTION OF GRIPS AT POINT OF PURCHASE
The quick exchange and interchange of grips in a store or other point of purchase allows a golfer to select their preferred grip. The patent is not reliant on the method of joining a grip to a shaft but the fact that it can be done in a quick manner for golfer to try different grips in a quick efficient manner.
Presently, it is an arduous and time consuming task to change a grip. This patent covers any method which provides a quick change of grips.
The system is available at The JonJas Compnay, LLC at booth 1S1 in the inventors area.
