Humana Challenge offers free grounds admission to active duty, reserve, and military retirees and their dependents
LA QUINTA, Calif. – For the third consecutive year, the Humana Military Outpost will be the premier pavilion which hosts active duty, Reserve, and military retirees, along with their dependents, during PGA TOUR tournament play at the Humana Challenge in partnership with the Clinton Foundation from Thursday, Jan. 16 – Sunday, Jan. 19.
Introduced at the inaugural Humana Challenge in 2012, the Humana Military Outpost is an exclusive and luxurious hospitality pavilion located between the first tee and ninth green at the Arnold Palmer Private Course at PGA WEST and offers its guests climate-controlled, indoor seating, outdoor patio seating overlooking the golf action, and complimentary food and beverages.
In addition to extending an invitation to the Humana Military Outpost, the tournament will offer free grounds admission to all active duty, Reserve, and military retirees (with valid military identification) and their dependents throughout tournament week, Jan. 13-19.
Military members and retirees should go online to www.HumanaChallenge.com/tickets and enter promo code “Military” (within the ‘Humana Challenge Daily Tickets’ section) to receive the special Military Daily Grounds ticket. Military members must show valid military ID at the gate to gain admittance.
“We are proud to host members of our country’s military at the Humana Military Outpost as our guests for the third consecutive year; they deserve the opportunity to have a fun and relaxing time while watching many of the world’s best golfers,” Humana Challenge Executive Director and CEO Bob Marra said. “The Humana Military Outpost is another example of how we are carrying on the legacy of Bob Hope. His passion for this golf tournament and unwavering commitment to entertaining the troops was legendary.”
The Humana Military Outpost is one element of the Humana Challenge’s sustained appreciation for the United States military and is a focal point for activities when the Humana Challenge celebrates Humana Military Appreciation Day on Saturday, Jan. 18.
The 2014 Humana Challenge, the Coachella Valley’s annual PGA TOUR event, is a 72-hole event and features 156 professionals playing at the Arnold Palmer and Nicklaus Private Courses at PGA WEST and La Quinta Country Club. The tournament will award the Bob Hope Memorial Trophy to its winner.
