Bethesda, Md. – January 8, 2014 – Spark Motion, a portable motion analysis software designed for use in authentic performance and rehabilitation environments, has announced today its partnership with PGA Tour Professional Kenny Knox. The three-time PGA Tour winner will join Spark Motion at the PGA Tour Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida on January 21-24.
“Having someone like Kenny Knox work with us and show off our golf technology is game changer for the company,” said Spark Motion President and Founder, Dave Gottfeld. “Having the ability to teach golf using our e-commerce function will increase his business and will allow Kenny the ability to teach golfers around the world from the comfort of his home.”
Knox, a three-time winner on tour, is best known as the holder of three all-time putting records at the MCI Heritage Classic. He had 8 putts for 9 holes, 18 putts for 18 holes and 93 putts for 72 holes.
“I have been a golf instructor for 25 years and having the ability to teach students remotely or continue the lesson long after they leave the course has been a constant struggle,” says Kenny Knox. “With the Spark Motion app, I now have the ability to do both. The technology allows me to directly send a video link to my client with drills and key points, but most importantly my clients have the ability to upload a video back to me showing their progress on the course.”
The Spark Motion technology is designed to help evaluate and correct inefficiencies in athletes in authentic environments as well as remotely via a HIPAA compliant Cloud. Coaches, trainers and medical practitioners are able to record video with their iPad and then instantly analyze the data. Users can also use the Screen Recorded Video (SRV) function to create videos capturing their verbal and on screen visual aids as they analyze their athletes video clips – one of Kenny Knox’s favorite tools. This remote training and consultation technology, in the mobile Spark Motion app, is revolutionizing the way athletes, coaches, trainers and physicians train and collaborate.
