January 10, 2014: Shark River Hills, N.J. – It all began with a broken foot: Signs by the Sea, located in Shark River Hills, N.J., has announced that it will be a new exhibitor at the 2014 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando Florida from January 22-24, 2014 at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Fl. PGA Member Michael Yevchak is the founder of Signs by the Sea and creates custom, hand-crafted signs and products for its customers. Yevchak has also worked as the Director of Golf at Pine Barrens Golf Club in Jackson, N.J. since 2001.
In February 2011, Yevchak broke his foot and his wife asked him to take the downtime to create a name sign for the family’s home. (photo below). This sign was seen by friends who managed a local retail store and purchase signs to sell. Following that, Yevchak made a Pine Barrens Golf Club sign. Chris Crowley – independent sales rep and now Signs by the Sea’s Director of Sales – saw this sign hanging in the golf shop at Pine Barrens Golf Club and suggested the idea that the signs would be popular with other golf clubs. The growth was explosive!
Since that time (Spring 2011), Signs by the Sea has grown tremendously; territories covered at this time include the northeast (NY, NJ, PA, DE, CT, NH, MA, ME, VT, RI), the Carolinas, Michigan, Colorado, Texas and Hawaii. Signs by the Sea’s client list includes 150+ golf clubs in 11 states; many clients are among the Top 100 clubs in America.
