SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Considered one of the top trendsetters in golf’s footwear industry, TRUE linkswear’s 2014 line charts a new design course for the growing company. TRUE’s revamped line features four new men’s shoes, a pair of new women’s styles and an additional offering for children.
“Our customers live the ‘golf lifestyle,’ and we wanted to pay homage to that with this bold, trendy new take,” said Jeremy Moore, president of the company. “We believe you should live the game, whether you’re on the course, in the office or out on the town. These new styles deliver the comfort and performance our fans have come to expect of TRUE, while also providing a new look and new direction to our brand.”
TRUE’s new line will be on display at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla., from Jan. 22-24 at Booth 1762.
Built for performance and comfort, designed for sophistication and versatility
As in years past, TRUE’s core is in the innovative minimalist movement the company helped to launch in the golf footwear world. Recognizing that nature’s engineering is best, TRUE has become the industry’s standard-bearer, offering the most comfortable and most versatile shoe on the market. The new styles and design tweaks found throughout the 2014 line remain true to that commitment, while also providing a fresh, trendy look for the new year.
TRUE’s natural engineering approach bolsters the golfer’s experience by providing three essential elements in every pair:
Comfort: The revolutionary design of TRUE clouds your foot in comfort, allowing you to walk – and golf – in your most natural state. The memory foam heel and sock fit liner enhanced the walking experience, fostering a shoe that goes above and beyond the comfort level of its peers.
Performance: TRUEs are tried, tested and have triumphed at the highest levels. Three-time PGA TOUR winner Ryan Moore is a co-founder of the company, and the shoes also have run marathons.
Versatility: TRUEs are built with a golfer’s lifestyle in mind, giving them the ability to be worn on and off the course – wherever you find yourself in your TRUEs, you’ll be living-golf-ready.
New for 2014
The TRUE vegas ($99) is a stylish and hip update to the popular street-style shoe, complete with a newly designed flexible rubber outsole. Featuring a limited waterproof leather upper and ergo-traction outsole tread, the vegas comes in four different colorways.
The TRUE oxford ($89 canvas, $99 suede) represents a bold and stylish change in direction for TRUE, offering a sleek, hip shoe that can go from the streets to the links. Available in either treated, protect suede or canvas, the oxford is water and stain resistant, comes with a memory foam heel and features five colorways.
The latest innovative design from TRUE is the new TRUE lyt dry ($149), offering the look, feel and performance of a well-crafted athletic trainer with thoughtful technology that enhances the golfer’s experience. Already in play on the PGA TOUR by co-founder Ryan Moore, the lyt dry’s EVA/rubber combination outsole is TRUE’s most advanced design to date as the EVA provides a comfortable and light weight mid-sole, while the strategically placed, durable rubber traction offers the needed traction to perform in any condition.
In the spring, the company will release the TRUE lyt breathe ($129), which replicates the performance and comfort of the lyt dry but with breathable mesh upper.
Sophisticated, stylish and classy, the TRUE gent ($149) pays tribute to the heritage of the game, while still delivering the one-of-a-kind comfort and walkability you find in all TRUE footwear. The EVA/rubber sole and sock-fit liner provide performance, feel and comfort that’s essential for excelling on the course, while the classical style of the gent makes it well-suited to wear to the office or around the city streets.
These new men’s styles join the popular and proven TRUE sensei ($99), TRUE tour ($129) and TRUE proto ($139).
On the women’s side, the TRUE dame ($129) is modeled after the men’s TRUE gent, while the TRUE scottsdale ($99) is patterned after the TRUE vegas. The dame is available in four color combinations while the scottsdale is available in three. They join existing women’s styles the TRUE isis ($79) and TRUE jade ($99).
The TRUE champ ($59) is the children’s version of the TRUE vegas, joining the TRUE padawan ($59) in the kid’s lineup.
About TRUE linkswear
TRUE linkswear, a Scottsdale-based footwear and apparel company, created the first golf shoe built on a barefoot platform, allowing the golfer to truly “Feel the Course,” while enabling them to walk 36 holes right out of the box in total comfort. TRUE was inspired by the emerging minimalist trend in running, where many shoes have shifted away from highly-engineered structures, such as arch supports and heavily-cushioned heels, to a shoe that better utilizes the anatomical features of the foot. TRUE brings this nature-engineered approach to golf by creating a shoe built on a barefoot platform feature a wide-toe box so toes can function naturally through the swing, which encourages proper weight transfer, balance and natural stability. Only TRUE offers the thinnest sole in golf (2.5mm), while still providing the durability to stand up to the most avid player. TRUE products are now available at many national retailers, including Golfsmith, PGA TOUR Superstores, Golf Galaxy and GolfTown in Canada. For more information, visit www.truelinkswear.com.
