NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (Jan. 7, 2013) – When AHEAD unveils its Fall 2014 apparel collections for its AHEAD, Kate Lord and PGA Authentic brands at the PGA Merchandise Show this month in Orlando, the focus will remain on offering classic/traditional styling and detailing, utilizing some of the best quality performance fabrications.
For both the men’s and women’s Fall ’14 lines, AHEAD is introducing a new fleece program. The Chatham Fleece, designed for men, and the Surfside Fleece, specifically for women, are 60/40 polyester blends with a peached finish that gives the fleece a rich, soft hand and enhances the beauty of the heather yarns being used. The men’s fleece offerings include a full-zip baseball-style jacket and full-zip hoodie silhouette. It is available in three colors, which include: navy, warm grey and charcoal.
The women’s collection offers a half-zip pullover, as well as a full-zip hoodie to merchandise along with the men’s offering. Available colors include orchid, juniper, platinum and pansy.
Expanding on its Thermal Regulation technology, which made its debut in the Spring ’14 collection, AHEAD is adding a two-tone feed stripe with collar tipping in four colors: ruby, marine, twilight and platinum. A lightweight half-zip pullover model is available in the same colorings. Based on the positive reception of this category with the men’s offerings, AHEAD has added a small collection of pieces to its Kate Lord Collection for women. The new styles offer a solid, cool touch polo that is available in six crisp colors of cherry, citron, iris, turquoise, ash and white. This solid cool touch polo merchandises with a two-button deep “V” placket heather two-tone stripe polo. Rounding out the offering is a lightweight hoodie in four colors, all with tasteful contrast stitching details.
Two new seasonal Kate Lord offerings – the Tempe and Denali collections – also are being introduced for Fall ’14. Color stories are citron/platinum/ash for the Tempe Collection, and wisteria/pacific/ash for the Denali Collection.
The PGA Authentic Fall ’14 collection has three new polo styles: a bi-colored textured stripe polo, a two-color feed stripe with self collar and a performance poly interlock jersey solid being trimmed with the feed stripe fabrication at the inside neck and under collar. All three styles have color offerings of tuscan, sunray, grass, lake and lupine and are executed with the PGA Authentic heat seal back neck label, PGA of America signature buttons, and the PGA sterling silver sleeve plate.
A new offering to PGA Authentic includes a half-zip pullover in a poly-textured fabric with contrast stripe trimming at the inside neck for a classic styling detail. Open cuff sleeve and no-rib bottom features make for a nice lightweight second layer silhouette.
To round out the PGA Authentic offerings, a color and style detailing update to its soft shell pullover is being introduced. High breathability, stretch and water-resistant fabric are the hallmarks, with color detailing available in stone/black, ruby/black and lake/black.
The company will be exhibiting its AHEAD, Kate Lord and PGA Authentic apparel collections, as well as its other groups (headwear and accessories), in booth 4757 at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Jan. 22-24.
