Laser Link Golf To Introduce The New XL1000 Rangefinder At The PGA Merchandise Show

January 16, 2014

MADISON, WI – Laser Link Golf, a leader in distance measurement technology and solutions for the golf market, is set to unveil the company’s newest product at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. The product is named XL1000, and it is scheduled to begin shipping for the spring golf season.

The design of the XL1000 is a definite departure from the company’s previous creations. It will be the first product from Laser Link that will not include the company’s trademark pistol shape. Instead, the unit will be a ‘hold to your eye’ model with an internal LCD. It will have the ability to measure to any landmark on the golf course, and include 6x magnification. Also new to this unit is the company’s AccuFLAG technology. AccuFLAG allows a golfer to zero-in on the flagstick for quick and easy measurements. Other features include Scan Mode, a waterproof design, and the ability to measure in yards or meters. And, with measurements of 4″ x 3″ x 1.5″ and a weight of only 7.5 ounces including the battery, it is one of the most compact rangefinders on the market.

“The XL1000 is like nothing we’ve ever created before,” said Rob O’Loughlin, president of Laser Link Golf. “We still believe that our pistol-shaped rangefinders, especially when combined with the proper reflector, are the best way for a vast majority of golfers to measure distance. But, we recognize that golfers have a wide variety of needs when it comes to distance measurement, and we wanted to be able to meet those needs whatever they may be. We now have the most complete line-up of laser rangefinders in golf. No matter what you are looking for in a laser rangefinder, Laser Link Golf has a product for you.”
