WIGI reception at PGA Show features fascinating women authors; EWGA’s CEO Pam Swensen is keynote speaker
Orlando, FL-Women in the Golf Industry (WIGI) will host their annual meeting and reception on Wed. January 22 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. This gathering will be held in conjunction with the PGA of America’s Merchandise Show (presented by Reed Expo) at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.
The reception will be like “opening a series of new books” with WIGI members informally showcasing their accomplished work as authors. As an added bonus, Keynote Speaker and Executive Women’s Golf Association CEO Pam Swensen, will take the opportunity to unveil EWGA’s new book Teeing up for Success, which includes intriguing stories written by 30 amazing women (some of which are WIGI members) on how golf can “make a difference” in one’s life. Proceeds from the book support the EWGA Foundation. The highly-charismatic Swensen is also a member of WIGI, a thriving networking organization for women working in the golf industry.
Following Swensen’s enlightening presentation, other WIGI members will be featuring their unique books one-on-one during the wine networking reception. WIGI authors slated to be on-hand include: Taba Dale (A Summer in Ireland, Life and Golf on the Emerald Isle), Susan Fornoff (Confessions of a Golf Slut- A Memoir of Life, Love and The Game), Barbara Hanson (Hit it Alice! A Women’s Guide to Everything But the Swing), Cindy Miller (Golf 101 for Executives), Christina Ricci (A Girls On Course Survival Guide to Golf), Katherine Roberts (Yoga for Golfers- A Unique Mind-Body Approach to Golf Fitness), and Debbie Waitkus (Get Your Game On! Your Guide to Getting in the Game).
“Women in the Golf Industry members are not only savvy business professionals, they are also extremely talented writers,” said Shi Shi Putter CEO and incoming WIGI President Elizabeth Noblitt, “and we encourage them to share their published work with others in the golf industry and beyond. This event also provides us a platform for show attendees to learn more about WIGI and the services we provide.”
The reception is open to WIGI Members, industry leaders and other PGA Show attendees. To RSVP online visit: http://www.eventbrite.com/e/women-in-the-golf-industry-pga-show-tickets-10048963721
