PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – (January 17, 2014) – The Traveling Golfer television and website-based show, which takes viewers to exotic destinations around the globe, celebrates the completion of its first year with a dramatic expansion. Beginning the last week of January Traveling Golfer will be carried as a monthly segment in the award-winning Inside Golf show that airs on Comcast SportsNet in the Philadelphia and Baltimore/Washington markets.
Traveling Golfer will appear in all shows aired by Inside Golf during the last week of each month. Inside Golf airs five times weekly in Philadelphia – 5:30, 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday, 4:30 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. Wednesday – plus three times in Baltimore/Washington – including a 7 p.m. Sunday feature time. Comcast SportsNet reaches 8 million households in the two markets.
“This is a huge step in the growth and development of the Traveling Golfer,” said Tony Leodora, Traveling Golfer host and a golf industry veteran in the magazine, radio and television fields. “To be affiliated with an award-winning show like Inside Golf, which has been a recognized leader in golf programing for more than 15 years, is very exciting.”
Each Traveling Golfer segment will be introduced by Harry Donahue, the host of Inside Golf for more than four years.
“The most important component of any golf television show is finding enough good content,” explained Ken Selinger, producer of Inside Golf from its beginning. “Adding interesting, well-produced segments from exotic locations is something golfers want. In some cases, they may be planning to visit these destinations. In other cases, they might just be dreaming about them. Either way, Tony Leodora will help us bring these great golf venues into the homes of so many golfers.”
The Traveling Golfer also can be seen any time during the month on the Traveling Golfer Network (see list of sites – www.travelinggolfervideo.com). They also air on the second Monday of each month as part of the Press Box show in Myrtle Beach, 5 to 7 p.m. on HTC Ch. 4.
