Beverly Hills, Calif. -This year, G/FORE’s spreading its fashionable approach from head to toe, with golf hats, belts, socks and even more shoes complementing the brand’s lineup of signature golf gloves. The new collection will debut at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla., from Jan. 22-24, 2014. To see it for yourself, look for the burst of colour coming from booth #5353.
Starting from the top, G/FORE’s new golf hats were created – along with the rest of the line – at the company’s Beverly Hills studio, a sleek spot known to insiders as “The Fun Factory.” Made in the USA and produced in limited editions, the one-size-fits-most caps are crafted from poly/cotton twill fabric and feature a 3-D embroidered G/FORE logo, custom cording and an adjustable leather strap with a rubber-finish G/FORE closure.
For that perfect touch of mid-outfit flair, G/FORE’s new golf belts balance form and function. Available in four solid colours and two stripes, these smartly appointed cinctures are comprised of full-grain leather and nylon webbing. Two sizes (M/L and L/XL) suit most, while the polished nickel O-ring and G/FORE logo details are sure to please discerning tastes.
And when the best-dressed golfers kneel down to sight their putts this season, they’ll be flashing a bit of colour at the ankle thanks to G/FORE’s new moisture wicking socks. Fashion socks fused with technical properties, G/FORE socks utilize a superior nylon/spandex yarn blend for the ultimate in comfort, performance and feel. This hard-working sockwear boasts anti-microbial properties for odor control, mesh venting and a seamless toe for comfort, a Y-heel for fit and function, and compression properties for increased performance.
Stylish feet will be complete with the latest takes on G/FORE’s recently introduced golf shoe, The Gallivanter. Forthcoming colourways and fabrications include Snow, Onyx, Patriot, Cordovan, Camel and Nimbus uppers in materials such as water-resistant suede, high-density performance microfiber, burnished leather, blazer-inspired woolen material and even pony hair. There are also cool Graffiti Camo options for the outsole, with each shoe bottom sporting a mix of colours in unique patterns.
“This year, we’re showing that G/FORE is more than just great gloves,” G/FORE founder-designer Mossimo Giannulli says. “We’re all about a stylish approach from head to toe – both on the course and off.”
Since debuting its colourful glove line at the 2011 PGA Merchandise Show, G/FORE has become the accessories brand of choice for a wide range of stylish golfers – from professionals like Tom Watson, Jonas Blixt, Robert Rock, Ricky Barnes, Alex Cejka, Rick Smith and Tommy Armour III to celebrities such as Wayne Gretzky, Bill Murray and Kings of Leon’s Nathan Followill, to weekend warriors and clubhouse regulars alike. G/FORE gloves and accessories are now worn in competition by pros on the PGA, Champions, European, Japan and LPGA Tours.
About G/FORE
G/FORE is a privately held, California-based golf glove and accessories brand under designer-founder – and avid golfer – Mossimo Giannulli’s Dirty Bird Productions (DBP) management group. Giannulli founded the billion-dollar clothing company Mossimo Inc. in 1987 and brokered a first-ever designer-exclusive distribution deal with Target in 2000. Rooted in the style established by golf’s Scottish forebears – dandified knickers, tartan sweaters and argyle vests – G/FORE promotes a simple evolution: colour. Visit www.gfore.com for more.
