Nettles and McMahon receive North Texas GCSA Honors
RICHARDSON, TX-ezLocator, which provides a software program designed to help golf courses manage the placement of pin positions more effectively, announces that the North Texas Golf Course Superintendents Association (NTGCSA) has honored two of its superintendents that use the ezLocator system.
Kevin Nettles of the Dallas Athletic Club (DAC) was named the 2013 A.C. Bearden Superintendent of the Year and Joe McMahan of the Honors Golf Club Dallas was recognized with the Distinguished Service Award at its annual meeting January 25, 2014 at the Fort Worth Club.
“I want to congratulate Kevin and Joe for their service and contributions. They are remarkable gentlemen and truly deserve this recognition,” said Jon Schultz, President of ezLocator.
Nettles has served as the superintendent at DAC for 14 years after serving 10 years as an assistant while McMahon has served at The Honors Golf Club for 24 years. He also worked five years at the Dallas Country Club and Stonebridge Country Club.
“It’s really an honor to be selected and honored by your peers,” said Nettles. “Of course, the reward is also a tribute to my staff who helps me at DAC.” McMahon echoed the feelings. “I’m truly honored to be recognized for my efforts by my peers,” he said. “I’ve enjoyed every minute of it.”
