Winner finishes first in strokes gained-putting with 2.794
WIXOM Mich. – The first and second place finishers at the Farmers Insurance Open benefitted from SuperStroke grip technology. The winner played SuperStroke’s Ultra Slim 1.0 while the runner-up used SuperStroke’s original Fatso 5.0.
With a logjam at the top of the leaderboard late on Sunday at the Famers Insurance Open, the winner broke through and two-putted the final hole to claim a one-shot lead and the win. It was one of seven birdies he made in the final round en route to his third PGA Tour win. He finished first for the tournament in strokes gained-putting with 2.794. The stat measures a player’s putting performance relative to his fellow competitors in a tournament.
The Ultra Slim 1.0 is SuperStroke’s smallest offering. It starts with a rubber under listing along with added new high-tech polyurethane material that features Cross Traction technology for improved feel and tackiness. SuperStroke’s parallel technology increases consistency and lowers scores for every level of golfer.
The second place finisher carded the lowest round of the week on the South Course with a 66 and shared second place with four others. He plays the original version of the SuperStroke Fatso, which is the largest offering in the SuperStroke line. The patented parallel technology compliments a “straight-back, straight-through” putting technique.
“Any type of golfer, regardless of handicap, male or female, right-handed or left-handed, tall or short, amateur or professional can benefit from the SuperStroke™ Putter Grip,” Jon Luna, SuperStroke USA Marketing Director. “The SuperStroke™ Putter Grip is designed to ‘make any putter better.'”
The Fatso 5.0 is 10.5 inches ling and has a diameter of 1.70 inches. It weighs 90 grams and is available in black, red, blue, lime and orange.
