Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. (Jan. 28, 2014) – Mission Inn Resort is celebrating a big birthday in 2014 – 50 years of Beucher family ownership and operation. To mark the occasion, a 50th Anniversary Golf Package, pairing the resort’s two award-winning championship golf courses with an overnight stay and generous resort credits, is now available.

Nestled among the rolling hills of Central Florida’s Lake County, Mission Inn Resort & Club is in the town of Howey-in-the-Hills, just a 35 minute drive northwest of Orlando. In addition to golf, the Spanish colonial style resort offers 190 graciously appointed guestrooms, suites and villas, three restaurants, two lounges and poolside bar. Amenities include eight tennis courts, trap and skeet shooting range, jogging and bicycling trails, volleyball courts, outdoor pool and hydro-spa, fitness center, Spa Marbella, lakeside nautical center with fishing, powerboats and eco-touring.

Mission Inn’s 50th Anniversary Golf Package has a two night minimum and includes:

• Club Suite accommodations

• 18 holes of golf daily, with shared cart

• Range balls, club storage, advance tee times

• Breakfast buffet following each night’s stay

• $50 credit to use toward dinner each night

• $50 total credit per person in the Golf Shop

• Commemorative gift item

Package rates, which range from $260 to $310 depending on the dates of stay, are per person, per night and based on double occupancy with a two-night minimum. Tax, service charge, and resort fee are additional. A one-night deposit will be charged at time of booking, and a 72-hour cancellation policy is required to avoid a one-night penalty.

Mission Inn’s two championship courses include 36 holes of rare tee-to-green elevations of 85 feet, towering forests and sparkling spring-fed lakes. Revered as one of Florida’s finest, El Campeón (The Champion) was designed by George O’Neil of Chicago in 1917 and further enhanced in 1926 by Charles E. Clarke of Troon, Scotland. The course is consistently ranked in the top 10 of Florida’s 1,500+ courses. Las Colinas (The Hills), the resort’s second 18-hole layout, was designed by former PGA Tour Player Gary Koch and opened in 1992 to immediate acclaim. Both courses are rated Four Star and recognized as “Best Places to Play” in North America by Golf Digest.
