This notable finish came at the 2014 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am where an ongoing FOURTEEN GOLF fan and PGA Professional played the FOURTEEN GOLF Tour Utility Iron to remain competitive for all four days of the event.
“The AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am provided the company more exposure than this remarkable Top-10 finish. There was a point on Saturday when FOUR PGA Professionals were ALL tied at sixth place, all playing FOURTEEN GOLF’s equipment. It was exciting to watch the television coverage,” commented FOURTEEN GOLF COO Marcy Kamoda.
AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am was inundated with difficult weather conditions. Rain, wind and a soggy golf course had PGA Professionals turning to FOURTEEN GOLF equipment to control the elements. Both the FOURTEEN GOLF Tour Utility Iron as well as the RM-12 Wedges were put into play for this reason.
The Top-10 Finish at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am was achieved playing a FOURTEEN GOLF Tour Utility Iron. It has a relatively small club head size. The concept is to maintain a traditional or typical iron appearance while still managing to produce a club that will allow golfers to hit solid shots out of any rough and in any condition. A deeper and lower CG allows an ease of shot execution as well as providing forgiveness and stability.
“The low center of gravity on our Tour Utility Irons has been pushed to the limits, creating high launching, accurate shots from both the fairway and rough. The upcoming Northern Trust Open will create similar conditions at the Pebble Beach — tough playing conditions, so we know our PGA Tour department will be very busy and provide the company additional awareness,” added Kamoda.
