Event offers equipment demos, giveaways and entertainer of the year competition
ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 11, 2014) – Golfweek’s Golfest, presented by CenturyLink/Prism, is bringing its popular outdoor golf festival and demo day back to The Polo Fields at The Villages March 7-8. Featuring contests, clinics, giveaways, product demos and more, this action-packed weekend serves up the perfect opportunity for golfers to try and buy the latest golf equipment while enjoying a variety of golf-centric activities.
“Golfweek’s Golfest continues to draw thousands of golf fans to The Villages each year for an up-close look at all aspects of the game,” said Director of Events Armand Cimaroli. “Thanks to the dedication and diversity of our many vendors, the event has grown and evolved into a unique experience for golfers of all ages and skill levels. Simply put, Golfweek’s Golfest is unlike any other golf event on the radar.”
This year, Golfweek’s Golfest attendees will have the opportunity to:
• Get a free sleeve of golf balls by registering for prize drawings at the Golfweek booth (while supplies last)
• Compete in the CenturyLink/Prism Short Game Challenge and the Columbia Par Car $1 Million Hole-In-One Challenge
• Enter to win passes to the PGA Championship and TOUR Championship
• Participate in the daily Sleekline Enclosures Putting Contest to win golf trips to the Arnold Palmer Invitational (Orlando, Fla.) or the Tiger Woods World Challenge (Orlando, Fla.)
• Purchase merchandise at the on-site Golfest Superstore, which features exclusive event pricing on select golf equipment brands

Additionally, attendees can enjoy a host of exciting golf shows on The Villages Regional Hospital Stage, such as “Improve Your Game” clinics headed by The Villages Golf Academy instructors and the third-annual “The Villages Golf Entertainer of the Year” competition. This year’s competition features four of golf’s most exciting performers, including the event’s first female entertainer – Lisa “Longball” Vlooswyk, a seven-time Canadian long drive champion.
