Charlotte NC – February 12, 2014 – Status4 is pleased to announce that player representative Harold Varner III will be competing in the Northern Trust Open. Varner was awarded the 2014 Northern Trust Open Exemption which is given to a golfer who represents the advancement of diversity in golf.
Varner, Eastern Carolina University’s first Conference USA Golfer of the Year, gained full status on the Web.com Tour this season after finishing T-32 at the final stage of the Web.com Tour Qualifying Tournament. His has also had success on eGolf Tour Florida, recently winning the Alaqua Open which pushed him to first on the tour’s money list.
“Playing in the Northern Trust Open is a great opportunity for me and I’m excited to compete against the best players in the world while representing Status 4 and their real time scoring technology that delivers a Live leaderboard to the player’s phones” said Varner.
Varner, who qualified for the 2013 U.S. Open at Merion during his first full year as a professional, has also competed in 22 events on the eGolf Tour, where he posted 12 top-10 finishes, including two victories.
