ESPN radio broadcast to air live at Hootie & The Blowfish Monday After The Masters Celebrity Pro-Am
(MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.) — Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday — the Grand Strand’s official golf marketing cooperative – announces ESPN’s “Mike & Mike in the Morning” will air its show for the fourth straight year from the annual Hootie & The Blowfish Monday After The Masters Celebrity Pro-Am (MAM) on April 14.
The show, featuring hosts Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic, will originate from the first tee on Barefoot Resort’s Dye Course from 6 – 10 a.m. More than 11 million people listen to the show weekly on ESPN Radio or watch the simulcast on ESPN2.
Dustin Johnson, Davis Love III and Dan Marino were among the headliners at last year’s MAM, and a star-studded field is expected to participate in 2014.
MAM is the largest one-day charity event in South Carolina, raising more than $4.5 million for education in South Carolina and the South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation. The event has attracted some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment including Tiger Woods, Arnold Palmer, Bill Murray, Annika Sorenstam, Samuel L. Jackson and Dan Marino.
“Mike & Mike have become part of the Monday After the Masters experience for the thousands of fans that attend the event,” said Bill Golden, president of Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday. “Having America’s most popular sports talk radio show broadcasting live from Myrtle Beach the day after The Masters, when interest in golf is at its peak, provides tremendous exposure for the area. It’s an ideal partnership, and we look forward to welcoming Greeny and Golic back to Myrtle Beach.”
