MEMPHIS, Tenn. (February 24, 2014) – The World Golf Championship-Accenture Match Play Championship was filled with incredible shots and heightened drama as the final match went to 23 holes this past weekend. The victory was hard won in a playoff that ultimately came down to a player with Project X Rifle shafts versus a player with Project X shafts.
After fighting it out in a 5-hole sudden death playoff, the winner birdied the 23rd hole with Rifle shafts for the victory in the 64-man field. He got up and down an incredible 89 percent of the time at the event. The win moves him to 11th in the FedEx Cup points and number four in the Official World Golf Rankings. Meanwhile, the runner-up played Project X to make some shots that are sure to go down in history, and certainly earned him a spot on the international golf stage.
