PHILADELPHIA, PA (March 1, 2014) – After a successful launch at the 2014 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, “THE LASER SWING” has been named Product of the Month for March by the award-winning GolfTalk Live radio show.
“THE LASER SWING” is an instant real-time biofeedback swing training device that shows you within two seconds if your swing is on plane or not. It projects a green (not red) diameter beam from the bottom of your grip parallel down the shaft of your club to the ground. It will attach to any club in your bag. Within two seconds or less of your swing, “THE LASER SWING” will show if you’re casting the club (slice), coming inside too far (hook), not finishing your swing after impact (ball projecting right) or overturning at the finish (ball projecting left).
This is a biofeedback process where the eyes send a signal to the brain which in turn sends a signal to the body’s motor muscle memory, creating muscle memory that allows golfers to instantly adjust their swing. A green laser diode is the number one color the human eye recognizes, and is also visible in direct sunlight, where a red laser would be invisible.
President and Founder George Laskaris created the product because of frustration at the inconsistencies in his golf swing. After going through the golf pro’s usual bag of tools, Laskaris still found himself not swinging the club on plane with comfort or consistency. That is when the idea of instant eye/hand coordination, or biofeedback was introduced to his golf swing. “I knew there had to be a better way to improve my game other than using a GPS device, hit the ball, put down the club, memorize what you just did wrong, just to pick up your club and try it again,” explains Laskaris. “This is why ‘THE LASER SWING’ found its way into my golf game, and I am 100% positive after trying it, given two-seconds, it will be part of GolfTalk Live listeners game as well.”
