Training aid helps you master 5 key putting fundamentals
JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – Greenactive Golf, makers of the CS2 Putting Training range of products, has signed PGA and European Tour Champion Ian Poulter to endorse the company’s CS2 putting training aid.
CS2 stands for Consistent Stroke/Consistently Square (putter face at impact). It’s deÌâåÂsigned to give golfers visual feedback as well as an instinctive feel for the meÌâåÂchanics of their putting stroke. The CS2 addresses the “5 Key FundaÌâåÂmentals” of great putting: aim, alignÌâåÂment, stroke path, square putter face at impact, and speed/pace. Until now, no other putting training device has been able to help golfers master these key fundamentals in one easy-to-use deÌâåÂsign.
“We’re extremely excited to have a player of Ian’s stature on board,” said Ronnie Matthews, Managing Partner at Greenactive Golf. “We’ve always admired Ian’s putting skills, and we were honored when he agreed to the deal. “His putting stroke has been rated as one of the best in the world, and the fact that he trusts the CS2 to keep it that way is of particular significance to us.”
Poulter, received his CS2 putting unit at the Deutsche Bank Championship in 2013, and has been training with it regularly ever since.
“I use my CS2 in every putting practice session,” said Poulter. “It keeps a constant check on my stroke path and putter face at impact.”
The four-time Ryder Cup winning team member believed in the product so much that he agreed to endorse it. He joins Australia’s 1991 Open Championship winner Ian Baker-Finch (product ambassador) and Sea Island Golf Learning Center Instructor Mike Shannon (rated one of America’s Top 50 Greatest Teachers by Golf Digest) to complete a formidable endorsement team.
One of the outstanding features of the CS2 is its versatility. The CS2 is the only training device that combines effective training at home and on the practice green with its patented template feature. The integrated tee and rail system alÌâåÂlows for easy green set up, leaving you with a perfect template to practice your preferred swing path.
“Golfers can use the complete device, remove the runway portion to putt directly onto the green surface, or remove the base plate and runway, leaving only the tees in their perfect set up to putt through,” Matthews said. “In this way, the golfer is effectively removing his ‘training wheels’ until he is putting freely.”
