ATLANTIS, Fla. – On Monday, March 10th PGA of America honorary member, Dennis Walters, will perform his famous show for over 300 students at HL Watkins Middle School in Palm Beach Gardens. Dennis’ show will last one hour, starting at 10:00 AM, and features the most amazing golf tricks and a message of inspiration. Don’t forget a special performance by Bucky, Dennis’ super dog and best friend. Bucky does a variety of tricks, but is best known for his uncanny ability to correctly answer questions by barking out the answers.
The show is fun, but more importantly it conveys an important motivational message to youth. Dennis challenges each student to follow their dreams in life, and inspires them with his talents. Each and every show he states, “I’m not talking about a dream you have at night. To me a real dream is having a positive thought in your head and in your heart, and doing whatever it takes to make that come true. Every person should have a dream. You’re never too young to have one and there certainly are no expiration dates on dreams.”
Over the last decade thousands of young children in Palm Beach County have had an opportunity to be wowed by Dennis’ show. This Monday will be no different. We would also like to recognize and thank Jersey Mike’s, who is providing lunches for all of the kids attending the event.
About Dennis Walters
Growing up Dennis’ dream was to play on the PGA Tour. After a tragic accident in 1974, Dennis was left paralyzed from the waist down. This accident was difficult for Dennis as he began to find out that there were a lot of things he couldn’t do. However, there was no way he was giving up playing golf and thus, with his “Never Say Die” attitude, a new career was born.
